CBSE Expression Series on “Good Governance”



The Central Board of Secondary Education proposes to celebrate 25th December, 2014 as Good Governance Day and announces Expression Series on ‘Good Governance’ on the occasion of the birthday of the great national leader Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Given below are the details of the series:

  • • Participation is voluntary. Interested students of schools affiliated to CBSE may participate.
  • • Modes of submission: i) Links to be made available on 25th December 2014 on
  • ii) through Mobile Phone (see Annexure I).
  • • The format required for submission of entries through Mobile Phones is given as Annexure -1A.
  • • Schools are closed on account of the Christmas Day, thus the willing students may submit their entries from home or any other place which provides online access.
  • • Age appropriate topics will be provided on CBSE academic website ( on 24th December 2014.
  • • Open for the three categories: i) classes I-V ii) classes VI-VIII iii) classes IX-XII.
  • • Entries in the form of essays in 22 scheduled languages and English may be submitted on 25th December2014 (from 9.00am to 5.00pm)
  • • 36 best entries in each category will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs.2000/-and a Certificate of Merit only after plagiarism check and interaction on the phone.
  • • All participants with valid email IDs will be given online participation certificates.

Process flow for Submission using Mobile Phones All willing participants may refer to following instructions:
Participants may submit entries as essays
Download the Registration cum Response Sheet given as Annexure-1A and fill in all the fields given in the form. Write your name and complete school address before you start writing
Ensure that you have filled all the fields given in the form before writing.
Click a photograph of your entry or Scan the image of the entry and upload on WhatsApp

as per the following:

1. Entries sent through email may not be entertained.

2. Entries sent through the number other than the one prescribed for the class category will be summarily rejected.

3. Entries should not exceed 5MB.

4. The entries should not exceed the word limit as mentioned.

5. The entries/ writings must be original.

6. Entries need to be given as per format provided in Annexure-1A, else they may not be considered.

7. Plagiarism, if detected at any point of time, will lead to withdrawal of the prize.

8. Students can refer to as many resources as they can avail, however the entries submitted must be in their own language.

9. The decision of panel of experts will be final for the selection of best entries and no further communication will be entertained on the selected entries.
